Data Protection Policy

From May 2018 Europe’s data protection rules will undergo their biggest changes in two decades. Since they were created in the 1990s, the amount of digital information we create, capture, and store has vastly increased. Simply put, the old regime was no longer fit for purpose.

Our data protection code of practice lays out our procedures that ensure Premier Dental Care and its employees comply with The Data Protection Law, 2001 and The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Complaints Procedure

In this practice we take complaints very seriously and try to ensure that all our patients are pleased with their experience of our service. When patients complain, they are dealt with courteously and promptly so that the matter is resolved as quickly as possible.

Cross Infection

Staff at Premier Dental Care takes all necessary precautions to safeguard against all blood borne infections. We follow strict guidelines from the department of health by complying with the HTM01-05 Document. The Health and Safety of our patients is of utmost importance.

Child Protection Policy

Members of the dental team are in a position where they may observe the signs of child abuse or neglect or hear something that causes them concern about a child.

We are committed to being a friendly and approachable practice whilst at the same time providing the highest standard of dentistry appropriate to each individual’s personal circumstances and needs while using the most up to date technology and knowledge.

Patient Payments

It is the practice policy to give patients full information about the cost of their dental care before any treatment is undertaken. Information on NHS charges for the most common treatments is available at reception. Our private fee scale is available following discussion with your dentist who is best placed to address your needs.

NHS Charges

  • Band 1: £21.60 includes an examination, diagnosis and advice. If necessary, it also includes X-rays, a scale and polish and planning for further treatment.
  • Band 2: £59.10 includes all treatment covered by Band 1, plus additional treatment, such as fillings, root canal treatment and removing teeth (extractions).
  • Band 3: £256.50 includes all treatment covered by Bands 1 and 2, plus more complex procedures, such as crowns, dentures and bridges.
